Well I am planning on buying a new desk sometime next week so I thought I might as well get rid of this crappy 17 inch LCD monitor I am currently using. I am not sure where to ask for advice and post questions about monitors so I thought I'd try here since you guys seem to have some nice monitors tongue.gif. I think I will use it mostly for editing and viewing pictures and of course watching movies.

I have been reading reviews and did some research on my own and actually spent almost 3 !! hours earlier reading reviews on different monitors.
Well at least I have decided to get a 22 inch, no more no less lol and I am currently leaning towards HP W2207H course I have owned a predecessor to that monitor and was very impressed by the design and quality. So I am kinda wondering what monitors you guys are using and if any of you have used or is currently using HP W2207H or have any advice you want to give me on picking the right monitor tongue.gif

Thanks in advance wink.gif

I suggest you have a good look at available monitors and some reviews. There can be quite a big differences on the monitors from same price range.

Apple Cinematic displays are the best monitors out there......
And it doesn't have to be on a Mac either...you can use them on PC's and get the amazing quality it produces.

I've seen them and used them, they are sexy as hell.
The only downside is they are about $1999.

Except they're not I know that HP does a very, very nice 24" (dreamcolor LP242480zx) which I'd say is better than the Apple Cinematic Display but it costs a lot.

I'd suggest avoiding any sort of TN panel, and going for a VA panel, they're not the best quality ones out there, but they're good enough for what you'll be wanting to do.

If you can afford a 10 or 12 bit panel you should definitely go for that.

You could also buy one of those 40" monitors I saw a while back.

Actually, I'd suggest one of those LG Scarlet series monitors, very sexy imo.
I'm gonna be getting a 24" one of those in Feb, and use me current as dual monitor happy.gif

I'm using a 9 year old CRT... It's pretty shitty image quality now... But it works. =]

I would want an OLCD monitor, if they even have any yet...
