I went out earlier to get myself some pizza and BBQ chicken wings, again. lol I hope I won't get fat living here in Canada because I have been eating quite a lot of junk food since I got here laugh.gif
Anyway I've always found weekend nights a lot more interesting to take photos and somehow the street lights and the higher temperature seem to agree with me.

#1 Taken with ISO 1600, shutterspeed at 1/5s to achieve narrowest possible aperture while shooting handheld to produce images with noticeable starbursts.

Get a damn tripod !

Stop with this iso 1600, I despise that ISO cause it sucks on my camera, lol.

Oh, try changing the WB next time, to get some different lighting lol.

haha you know I have discovered that certain pics can not be taken with tripods course in a few of the pics above I actually walked on to the middle of the street to shoot them lol. I would probably been run over by cars if I had a tripod with me. BUT you are absolutely right I am sure the street lights would have looked a lot more amazing if I had a tripod which would allow me to use lower ISO, much slower shutterspeed which means an even narrower aperture.
hmm I kinda find most of the pics look quite natural because the street lights have this orange color so if I changed the WB they probably would look a lot "paler" lol I am not sure though but I will keep that in mind and try to take some night photos with different WB next time smile.gif thanks for pointing out!

haha yeah I guess using a tripod would make those picture absolutely sharp lmao. I am still not sure which tripod to buy though it seems picking a tripod is like a million times harder than choosing a camerabody or a lens. Oh well I guess I will post some early morning pictures later course it seems that I will have to work tonight starting in ten minutes lmao

Good night to you all and thanks for the comments smile.gif

So I have heard too I mean not only do I have to buy an expensive tripod I also need to get an expensive ballhead thingy too sad.gif My guess is that I may will have to spend around 600-800 dollars on a good tripod plus ball head... sleep.gif dry.gif haha that's why I have been taking night pictures with my camera handheld laugh.gif
hmm do you actually use a ball head with your tripod? That is if it could be used with a ball head in the first place lol.

lol I actually managed to take a few pictures earlier after I got off work. I didn't walk far because I was just too tired. The low traffic on a Saturday morning gave me the opportunity to stand in the middle of an otherwise very busy street and take a few photos biggrin.gif and I remembered to change WB to tungsten. It did make my pictures look more natural but I still kinda like the orange color in some of the night photos I've taken so far.
