Got a question mate:
If a photographer takes a really good shot, what ways can they make money from it?
Sell it to people.
People in my area have "Coffee and Art houses"
A friend of mine sells some of his work for around $800 a piece there.
(And people buy it)
He walked out one night with about $3000 in his pocket, and like 5 other orders to be delivered.
But he sells massive pieces of work, stuff you see in museums, with frames and everything.
Very nice pieces.

Work for National Geographic or your local newspaper, they set a description of a shot they want, you go get it and they pay big for it to put in the magazine, paper etc.
Or sell your photos to stock websites, like istockphoto.com etc.
