Snowy Owl, really like the turnout of this with the snow sparkling.

cool owls ohmy.gif You're lucky to be able to get so much practice by living by the zoo... The only con imo is in the second one that you see the fence in the background. It kinda kills the feel :/

hmm yeah, you cant see the first owl ez - he is well camo'd up

but cool shots none the less

Should have shot the second photo with a larger aperture so the cage wasn't so evident.

I agree that the shots were cool but I think you see the owl fine in #1 tongue.gif You might however consider fiddling with the wb or somehow trying to lighten the pic as it feels slightly on the darkside (lol, darkside ><).

i disagree. i think the pictures look plently bright, i was just saying the #1 owl isnt as definate as the #2 because #1 has a coat which blends into his surroundings, its nothing to do with how the picture was taken its because the owl is camo'd up tongue.gif


as to the fence at the back of #2 im sure it can be photoshoped out, and maybe he didnt have a lens with a wider aperture to take the picture!

Well as Mr.Young says, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree tongue.gif Imho something is off with the wb or lighting in #1.
