Hi Guys.

I have a canon 450D.
I need a flash. I prefer canon or sigma. I would love to have manual settings avalible.
Do you have a "best" buy?
I have around 400 $ to spend.

Best Flashlight for this camera is defenetly the Canon Speedlight 580EX II.
I used it 1 night for my EOS 400D to make party pics and it's just insane.

Have you tried other flashes?

I personally have got a Metz 36 AF-AC digital here and I don't like the flashes.
And you can't do manual settings. It overexposes and it got e-ttl oO.
Price: ~ 100 €

Another Flashlightning I got here is a Cullmann D 4500 C
This can be handled full automaticly and full manually it makes nice shots but sometimes I really have problems with the strengh of it.
Price: ~ 1xx €

Okay. But I prefer Canon or sigma.

The Canon Speedlight 580EX II looks great, but is too expensive for me. It cost around 600$ were I live.

I have the Speedlight 430EX, I'd say it works pretty good, although I have not really gone outside of the box with it, meaning I've only used it for 1 simple purpose = better flash! lol. It's kind of the "in between" flash. The one better than this one was too expensive for me, hehe

Yeah that's right it's really expensive I just looked on the german market and wondererd that i could get that for 370€
thats kinda cheap since before christmas the price was about 570 €.
You should take a look on the speedlight 530 ex it's cheaper.

The Speedlight 430EX looks interesting.

Maybe he means 580 EX?

Hell of a lot more expensive, so I went with the "in between" flash
