Just messing around at a friends house, took a few shots of the piano, and I thought this one turned out good! What's your opinion?

Ya, it would. Sept, I only took one picture in the same spot, lmao.

I think it looks fine as it is. There's no need to make a hdr of a photo of a piano. I really like the small DOF in this photo. Did you use the maximum aperture for this one?

1/200 Shutter
F 9.0
ISO 800

I didn't touch the aperture at all. It did it's own thing.

I guess just letting the camera do the work would often turn out to be very good indeed lol. I believe some of the best photos I have taken so far were taken that way and many of the times when I really tried to change a million different settings on my camera the results would usually be disappointing. biggrin.gif

The only things I feel comfortable changing, but not 100% yet is shutter speed and ISO. When I touch that Aperture, it messes everything up.

hmm that's weird but it could totally be the lens you are using. Maybe once you've got a better lens you will be able to change aperture without messing things up.
Well it may wont matter too much if you leave the aperture alone since you still seem to be able to take some really awesome pics smile.gif

Yeah, I just switch the mode on the camera to M if I want to switch all 3 settings to my own. I figured out the other day I can use a BULB shutter and I want to try it like for 5 min, but I dont know if I feel like holding my finger down for 5 mins on a button. I am sure there is an easier way to do this but idk how haha.

hmm ok... Do you actually mean that you can have a shutter speed of 5!!! minutes while using full manual mode?? Well I have never heard of BULB shutter before but it sounds nifty and I would LOVE to try to take a photo with 5 minutes exposure that is when I have bought a tripod, LMAO just imagine me standing there absolutely still for 5 minutes with this extreme cold winter here in Canada I would probably become a tripod myself biggrin.gif
