I have put together a server for my son and would like some help/advice with setting some things up.
It's a private server for him and his school mates but I don't know anything at all about minecraft.
So if anyone is willing to help out leave a post and skype would be the preferred way to communicate.

I need a few things implemented like anti grieving and just brain storming with what would be good.
He's on patch 1.8.1-1.8.3.

Two addons I'd recommend. the first is MC Stats, this one is my favorite. the 2nd one is the /tpa add on (tp home and to friends). honestly, those are the only two you need to have fun

can you elaborate on what they d exactly?

/tpa add allows you to teleport to a friend by rending a request (Intenso8 wants to teleport to you type /accept if you agree)
mcstats i have no idea.

2 cool stuff aswell as teleport suit is
mcmmo (you will lvl upp your skills in each category, like mining,repairing and so on)
giref prevention (you will gain blocks to claim/activity, and you will "claim/protect" your area with a gold shovel)

oh just noticed it was 1.8 and not sure if mcmmo has come out for that 1 yet
