hi dudes,

i've got a legal version of minecraft and now i've got two questions:

1) i want to play some minecraft with some friends. the internet speed where we play is very slow, so we usually play offline games. (also we use a 8port switch and are 8 people, thus no direct internet connection).
so is it possible to play minecraft without an internet connection?
(ofc i had to install a server on my comp)

2) is it legal to talk about "mods" of minecraft?
i read the forum rules and i'm not sure if a minecraft mod counts as 3rd party program (rule: "NO discussion about any hacks/3rd party programs.")
i'm not sure because i've read the 'terms of use' of minecraft:

what's the difference between "mods" and "hacked versions"? imo that the same...

1) You need internet connection, use Hamachi.

2) Pretty sure you can talk about mods, texture packs and stuff. As long as you don't discuss or attempt hacked versions of the game, priate versions, exploits & other stuff that ruins the game.

ok i found out that tekkit lite starts in offline mode, when there is no internet connection. (but ofc you first have to dl the right files from the net first)
