I have 3 worlds, 2 survival, 1 creative
I was playing on one survival world, and I blue screened (due to hard drive failing)
I come back onto minecraft, and the world is not there.
I've had instances where worlds didnt show up, so I go into my save file, pull the map out of the saves, and put them in and it's still not there.

I have the file, just not showing up on the actual minecraft single player

It also says it's opened in another program, though I didn't have another mc opened.
Do bluescreens keep things running ( I thought they restarted your computer o.o)

try ctrl alt delete and close javaw.exe if its there, or anything minecraft related. (if you are running a server)

if not, get your minecraft saves from the .minecraft folder and put them somewhere else, then reinstall minecraft.

copy file
delete all files in the .minecraft folder
force update
drop file in

also try restarting comp, that might work

I'll try other options first before reinstalling.
