you make it, with a crafting bench or furnace,
or you dig for it, MINE, craft.

dig underground for iron, gold diamond etc. the best way to go is to find an underground natural cave then just walk through it and find ll the stuff u want.

It is pretty simple to find coal/Red Stone/ Gold once you get down a certain depth.
