I wish minecraft stopped updating =((( I haven't played for months now because so many things come out and it doesn't have that "classic" feel to it anymore =/
but that's just my opinion

get it on xbox. stuff hardly updates on xbox like they do on pc. look at dungeon defenders for example.

A "snapshot" is what is in the new update before it's officially added as an update pretty much.

You can download the snapshot update from the Minecraft website, but it's not an "official" update until it's added as a new version on the log-in screen when you play Miencraft. (example: Minecraft 1.2.5)
