wtf do i do

first time playing minecraft and i heard the first night is a bitch so i quickly made a dirt hut and before night set in i was able to get some resources (coal, wood, and the stuff u can make with them)

i waited out the first night by digging a huge spiraling mineshaft but when day came back i looked outside (had a door) there were a shit ton of creepers, spiders, idk where a skeleton went and the zombies burned. theres like 3 or more creepers and atleast 2 spiders. i tried digging a long tunnel away from the house but when i got to the end of the hill and broke through to daylight the sipder was right there

idk wtf im supposed to do. a creeper already blew up half my house and i doubt i can kill all these things at once

tips?

if your playing single player i believe you can set the Difficulty that lowers the Spawn of mobs i think i forget haven't played single for awhile now. but it normal running into Creepers and spiders (Spiders are harmless unless in the day so are Zombs/Skels since they burn up)

no, spiders are not harmless during the day because i had several jump over my 7 block high wall and attack me. i just learned a little bit ago that you're supposed to put a lip on ur wall to prevent them from jumping so atleast thats resolved.

the only problem i have left is the fucking creepers. i thought they were all gone once so i went outside to collect stuff and one blew half my house up (and me)

i cant seem to do anything during the day unless i put it on peaceful (which seems like cheating) because there's always creepers. one tiem i had 4 creepers following me around....

Build yourself a sword and kill them

...they blow up

...hit and run they will not blow up unless they are really close to you..

you should re-do single player and make a youtube commentary

beat the damn creeper up, don't let it blow up, you punch it and back aaway, punch it and back away, and repeat, it may blow up but be sure to be far enough away, if done right you'll lose 1 heart or none. or half a heart.


spiders are easy as shit, (hint: they can't fit in a 1 block wide space.) do what you want with that.

I suggest building a sword, cobblestone is very easy to get, get that right away, 3 hits on anything on normal ground will die from a cobble sword, with just fists it may take a bit longer.


when your way below ground tho thats a different story, shit hits you for like half your health and takes a while to kill even with diamond weapons, also axes CAN hit higher on monsters, they can crit, where swords have a more consistent damage. it's said that at gold and above axes are better than swords for killing.

how do you install a custom map? i downloaded a hogwarts map someone made, idk how to put it up though
