I've been looking around and can't find any build guides/blueprints/schematics.
Whilst I feel it takes away from the creativity side, I'm curious about building others basic houses and then improving on them.

Is there a site that has guides on houses and other buildings. Specifically materials needed at the beginning, area needed clear for entire building, widths and heights, etc.

u can use http://www.patrickmin.com/minecraft/ to convert 3d images into pixilated designs.
as far as buildings go, just make your own.

its just a ton of water, i made it in single player on a random generated.

didnt spawn anything either :P
