Outside:

Inside:

Ok, Works fine when I click outside, will open close.

But if I open the outside switch, the inside switch won't close it.

Only one switch will work at a time.

alright, so the easiest way would be to take out the block you have the level on so its like a window, then set the lever inside so you can reach it from both sides.
the more complicated way would be to make a sort of redstone circuit like this.

basically this is the functional unit, the redstone torch in the front will only lite when both switches are turned on (thus open a door), so you need to route redstone from each lever to a unit such as this, and then rout the output to the door.
here is an example of putting most of it underground.

you can see functional unit because i left it uncovered, and the red cloth represents where i placed redstone (about 2 blocks, sometimes 3 blocks down from there)

well I figured out a way... so I used 2 pressure plates for mine. on one side it's just the pressure plate, on the other side it's the pressure plate with a square of redstone.

yeah buttons would also be an easier alternative. pressure plates and buttons only go on for a few seconds then they turn off. levers are either always in the on or off position.
