After many years away from MS I kinda want to return and play. What should I now know about MS? I signed into my account and all of items seem to be gone?! Was there a patch were some items may have been removed? I still have 1mil meso. I've looked on YouTube and a lot of the gear I need is like insanely expensive. What would you all recommend to get me back on my feet and at least be able to start enjoying the game?

1m = 1 boss run (pick up potions and sell to npc), back in the old days 1m = a lot of playing/merching. Also training at the new places (new relative to you) called Stronghold - First/Second Drill hall (fdh/sdh is what ppl call it in game) with pet auto loot will get you like 1m every few minutes (given that you one shot the monsters - they have 21m hp).

with that said a lot of the BASE gear you need isn't relatively expensive anymore.

Get:

Fafnir weapon for your class (30-50m),
their respective set helm (10-30m) (the set is called CRA - stands for Chaos Root Abyss - they drop from these boss monsters) so I will call it CRA helm
CRA top (10-30m)
CRA bottom (20-40m)

for weapon, scroll with spell traces (+9 att per success, 15% chance - sometimes 25% if you do it during an event where it increases your chances), you can use shield scroll (from reward points, without spending nx) to prevent slot count from being used. You can use also use prime which gives +3 stat, 10 att but those are really expensive (600m+ each) and they have a chance to destroy ur item (so if you DO want to go this route, make sure you buy the protect scrolls from reward points too (or spend nx) - not cost effective if u aren't trying to be perfect)

the helm top and bottom scroll with prime or icogs (incredible chaos scroll of goodness). icogs if ur class is more efficient with att/prime if u have a lot of %stat - for icogs u have to wait during events when they are available, well same with prime but some ppl sell in fm.

Gollux rings (all 4) (all free if u deligent with doing your gollux runs every day as you get it with gollux coins)
Superior Gollux pendant - drops from hellux (gollux hell mode) only (low chance at that), can get expensive in fm like 1b i think (get 2) (you can buy pendant slot expansion from reward points now) - however,you can find a lot of nice people that will "Carry you" to kill hellux
Superior Gollux Earring (free if u farm with coins)

Scroll gollux with gollux scrolls, they are the best and u get them from just killing gollux each day (it drops coins, keep the coins, save them). don't need icog

Tyrant cape, shoes, gloves, belt <- most expensive, find nice people for hard magnus carries to loot the coins. Enhance these with enhance system for first 3-5, i use shielding ward and aee for the next 6-7, then use no boom aee with guardian scroll for up to 10 stars (out of 15 max)

Sweetwater eye and face - do commerci runs and cube urself (find cubes from bossing, and rewards shop)

you get these "Rewards" that i keep mentioning by just killing daily bosses. Find a carrier at first (i'll be happy to), then you can self sustain when you have some gears

items don't disappear, they rarely do from like rollbacks, maybe you got hacked a long time ago? Change password just in case.

get emblem to cube,

get badge from some quest to cube (ask me later if u actually play)

get secondary weapon (cheap from npc) to cube

get leafre card set for pdr (% ignore defense)

This for the most part is the standard end game gear that all the cappers use. Their base items aren't too expensive, but they have godly potential/scrolled well which makes their accounts worth 5k USDs

also 101 takes less than a day during a weekend 2x event to get to... just saying.. you should look into another character, don't feel locked into your db. But of course, if thats what you want by all means do it

No my name is not numbers "fatduelblade" is my MS name, thank you for all the amazing info. I've always loved a close ranged, high DPS character. Would like to stick with him unless there is better now? Some of the items you mentioned don't ring a bell with me I must be really out of the loop.

If you have a female companion at home or someone you know who has skype and facebook and twitter you can use, you can go far.
Make urself a girl and con boys using ur friend as a medium. I did this and got my dualblader to 1.5m range without lifting a pinky.

Guys are nice too...

I never give to girls for the sake of them being a girl if they are golddiggy or tools in general (people only ask me to carry) i won't give a thing, only chill ppl, regardless of gender.

How important is potential vs easy to do a lot of dmg with not the best gear in the world

dw has 14 lines but takes 10m range to cap on cvell with 92%ish pdr with 100% crit - and probably even more now cuz of the elemental ignore thing going away as of today),

drks main attack has 6 lines but u cap with clean 1.5m range. they are making their boss skill 10 lines today (From 8 lines) (but decreasing dmg) but even with 10 lines you can't always spam it unless u have good buff duration increasing items

not sure on DB i'll ask but I think they fit in the category with low potential (not very many lines) and hard to make strong.
