Nexxon are so bad at patching they always screw up or take way more time to update than they predicted.
Not saying the bugs we get when we patch -.-', I always have to fucking uninstall the game and reinstall whenever theres a big patch

I feel you, I can't even download normally anymore. Always have to manual patch and sometimes it doesn't work and I have to reinstall lol.

You actually don't have to reinstall. It said I had to do it after I downloaded the patch. I just said 'no' and pressed 'play' on maplestory website. After that I logged into the game with no problems.

However, Nexon does suck. Period.
