It used to be fun, where it actually took effort to get items and level.

Now it's so EZ mode, you can do a year of grinding/playing in like, a few days...


2x events are like, so common it's stupid.
Hot time events which were VERY Sought out events that people would actually ditch classes/work just to get the rewards on these hot time events. Now they're everywhere as well.
New classes are very OP.
So much new items, and very godly items are out there. People used to go crazy over a cape that had 1 atk, now theres a cape that gives 25atk CLEAN!

This game is pretty much Pay2Win, you look at all the things you can obtain with NX, and you'll see why.


This game is broken beyond belief, it will never be the same as before, when it was fun.

Agreed 90%. to clarify, there's a a cape that comes with 30 atk clean.

Im glad i played this game back in its prime, cause it is pure shit now lmao, before all the new classes, just the original map + the classes, grinding to 30 the first time took weeks lmao

Right? Like, getting to 3rd job at 70 was considered a huge achievement. I played for about a year and was only level 50 back then.


Now you can get to level 70 in a day CASUALLY playing it. And even 200 as fast as a few days...


Agreed. Maplestory is pure shit in its current state. Surrounded and saturated with microtransactions and effortless progression/leveling...

i played for 2 years to get my ice lighnting mage to 74
that wasn't that fun but the rewards were awesome just to actually use third job skills was insane

this game has lasted what, 10 years? but it's on its way out. the unlimited patch (unlimited dmg) came out in KMS and if it comes out in GMS then it's all over.
