i hate how if you take a couple weeks break or even a couple months, maplestory is updated everytime

new things are always coming out and you have to be on top of everything. after taking a couple months break

i find it hard to start over, i hav a lvl 14x bishop but so many things are out i dont know where to start..

so i was wondering, what are the new updates since ascension?

im pretty sure there is over thousands of new things.

i dont want to read the maplestory website because i probably have to read through 100's of tabs of updates.

What makes the game better to play -.-

it would b nice if it updated every 9-12 months

Dont know about 9-12 months lol.. Without these events, more people would quit and less people would join/come back. If it wasnt for the constant change I wouldn't have come back lol Its how Nexon keeps people playing. I dont see the problem. If you can't keep up with it, dont get mad at Nexon. There are people who would play Maple all day, you arent forced to. Not their fault you have other things to do other than maplestory. If anything most events lately dont even involve you to do THAT Much.

just my opinion on things, i was wanting to come back to play but there is just too much to keep up with. also its not how nexon keeps people playing, its how nexon keeps people paying
i read a couple of the update things, and theres items that hold 1 line of potential, and some different miracle cube thing, and there are like 3 different protection scrolls from teh cash shop. and i know there is alot more than just that.

i know that if you want to be successful in maplestory, u need alot of time invested and hav to keep up with the times. if you miss 1 event your pretty much screwed.

i was there for the evolving ring events 1 and 2, now theres a 3rd one that came out that gives 2x better stats and a bunch of other shit that i do not know about.

im only saying that there is way too much to learn in order to do well. so basically if i went back to maplestory i would have to play for 2 weeks just to learn what i missed out on. and then play another 2 weeks to catch up on getting the items i missed out on and prices and whatnot.

I have quit before ring 1 2 and 3 happened. (I came back in between them though) I came back right before the Alien Patch came on. It took me a single day of trying to learn everything I missed. Maybe couple hours even. Prices obviously change through time so that is a given. But 2 weeks to catch up on getting the items? That's really just your fault for not playing maybe few minutes a day.. that's basically the events (Evo ring hour/day ofc)

I started off with barely any mesos when I came back. Its fairly easy to get enough mesos for event items (since well they are event items.. not really 'rare') so getting the items you missed isn't really much.. (Usually.) Nexon is a business and they do make people pay, but they also give people things. Fair or unfair, if they are raking in money, they could careless. These events are mainly for people who play everyday and for those who may be interested in coming back, they might look at it and go OMG I GOTTA GO BACK or GOTTA TRY THIS. Hence Phantom and even Mikhail coming out + All the revamps and of course, the events.

I understand your frustration towards the updates + events. But Nexon is trying to be fast paced and putting updates so that they can 1. Get more money and more players. And 2. Actually give maplers more stuff to do / keep up with KMS. Players themselves demand a lot (dont know if you check forums) And Nexon is actually reading of course only the most popular ones.

Whether you come back is up to you. But its just something you just have to deal with you if you decide to play Maplestory :]
