I guess you can say the controls are somewhat similar but the gameplay itself is an MMORPG.

Oh sick so it's like instead of lobbies and matches, you level up and go to town and do everything like a normal mmorpg. That sounds pretty interesting

Yup, and if you have that GunZ itch, you can PvP against someone, up to 8v8.
