How does MMR work in hots. I have been playing this game very very casually during the Alpha until open beta. I have been always picking funny heroes and haven't really cared about if my Team had Support or tank (simply stronk rank 30-40 Plays). It was around 300 games played in total.
Now I have came back to HOTS. Have done a calibration of 10games and had 8-2. Yet, it had given me a silver 5 rank and I would like to get out of it as fast as possible but I guess it is not (I am having over 70% win Ratio in the ranked now and I am about to be promoted to silver 2 if I win a game). I Keep having less Points for win than I get for lose (personal adjustment always negative around 10 Points).
Would it be other season different or simply is my mmr already at the Level of a kid with mental handicap and I simply have to climb slowly from this trash? Any ideas how to do this? (I do not feel like creating new account is a way to go)
Creating a new account is likely the quicker/easier route.
You spent he first 300+ games on your account not worrying about rank, which is fine, personal choice. But it brought you down to almost Bronze tier. Now you get a bit of a "soft reset" each season where the game gives you slightly more or less MMR per win to help people move out of where they are stuck, but your personal adjustment will try its best to prevent that.
Personal adjustment is just there so that someone doesnt fall ass backwards into a 10+ game win streak on the backs of strong teammates and suddenly leap ranks.
It will probably take you an entire season and 150-200 games with 60%+ win rate to climb to low end plat.
Making a new account would require leveling another 14 heroes to 5 but that can be done in a matter of nights with a stim pack. Your decision at the end of the day but just be aware how hard of a climb you are looking to make.
I climbed from 2400 mmr (high plat) to 3100 mmr (high diamond) in 2 months and 400+ games near the end of pre-season.
Thats only 700 MMR.
Silver 5 is around 1200 MMR. So to climb to high plat or even diamond you are looking at 1500 ish MMR climb. It is easier with the seasonal soft resets but i still think you are looking at 2-3 seasons before you can climb to diamond or better.
Anyways gl
