MMR didnt reset so if you were around rank 40 before....won all those games....then rank 34 is pretty accurate.

I was like rank 20 but anyways.. whats the point of placement matches if i'm gonna try that hard just to be 34 lol

well your last rank was purely on games played and had nothing to do with MMR so the number really didn't make a difference.

One thing that Blizzard did mention though is that they are pretty conservative with your initial placing so I imagine you will move up 5-10 ranks within your next 100 HL matches if you continue playing well.

Yeah, it takes 100-200 games to really get a good set-in-stone picture of where you are at as a player.

Yeah I was placed at 34 too somehow. Got back down to rank 7 now I'm up to 10 again.
