Just a question for those of you who have knowledge on gazlow since I want to play him too
I understand that he is underwhelming and there are better choices but I do want to try to play him
My understanding is he is a pusher
Turrets for pushing the lane
My question is in teamfights and objectives, is he the middle, frontline, or in the back?
Do I save lazer for initiation and/or finisher?
What abilities are bread and butter and which are situational?
What situations should I prioritize the use?(Podium charge)
My idea of talent tree
1. Break it down!
2. Reduce Reuse Recycle
3. Turret XL
4. Grav-O-Bomb
5. Turret Storage
6. Long Ranged Turrets
7. Hardened Shield
Correct me if I'm wrong and tell me why so I can understand the hero more
There are a few different viable builds for gazlowe but the main things you want to get if you plan to be in teamfights are the slow turrets at 7, gravabomb at 10, and the increase max turrets/range thereafter. Your main goal with him is to get some turrets down and hit multiple targets with your wombo combo. How you do that is you place your E down underneath where some enemies are standing (Doesn't have to be exact but should be close) and then after that (within .5 seconds) you throw your ult down in a way that it will hit the enemies (and pull them in) while also placing them on your E for it to detonate directly afterwards. This combo together with the Extra TNT talent at level 1 on even a small wave of minions will take everyone caught in the blast down by roughly half their health (less heroes like azmodan/avatar muradin).
The best part of this wombo combo is that your enemies instincts will tell them to run away since they lost so much health....but your slow turrets will make that impossible. You can single handedly turn around an entire game by 1 good wombo combo towards the end of a match.
As far as your positioning and lazer goes...you don't want to be up in the front fighting so much cause you are too easy to kill but typically charging your lazer in the back and not contributing much isn't going to help your team.
Most pros say that his W is a big waste of mana...really only good for laning or when you can secure an otherwise unobtainable kill with it. With that being said, if you go the mana build then you could use your W a little more liberally without having to worry about the opportunity cost of such an endeavor.
