I'm roughly a 10-5 rank player who's stuck in the deep 20's because I insist on solo que, and my MMR has put me in a bit of a vicious cycle. I solo'd during my placement, so my pre-patch rank of 10 dropped down to a 40...

300+ hero level 800 total wins every hero unlocked and leveled. I have TS and Skype. Looking for one other person to help me get out of the 28-29 rank level, and onto my former rank pre patch.

the pre-patch rank meant very little. All that has ever mattered is MMR. Prepatch you could get rank 1 with 1200 MMR (I've seen it).

post patch it typically takes around 3,000 MMR to get to rank 1.

Let me try to be more helpful since you didn't understand my other post.


PRE PATCH: Rank is not linked to MMR at all......If you play enough games you get rank 1 NO MATTER WHAT.....EVEN IF YOU ARE AWFUL......you will still get rank 1....or in your case, rank 10.

Post Patch: Rank IS linked to MMR.....If you are awful and play 7000 games you will still not get rank 1. Blizzard has already stated that they place people after their placements pretty conservatively....meaning that they put you a little behind your actual rank (That is attached to your MMR). So...you got put in 40....which means you're probably around 30-35 (Assuming you don't improve at all). If you improve your rank (and MMR) will also improve.

The only other way you can increase your rank dramatically is if someone carries you in a duo q...which apparently that is what you are asking for here.

Hope this very accurate and informative post on the link between MMR, Rank, and overall skill has been helpful. But since it didn't end in "Hey bro let's play I will carry you to rank 10 NP" I am pretty sure you still won't be happy with it.

There is no carry mechanic in this game, and to suggest otherwise is just absurd. You began by talking out of your ass, got checked, and continue to pontificate like you're an expert, and like your opinion matters to anyone. You don't know shit, you're not godlike, and even if you were, I'd expect you to know enough about the win condition in this game to keep your mouth shut. Teamwork is the most important aspect of this game, something I advocate implicitly, followed by experience, which I have in droves. Seriously... This is a thread requesting a team for a game built around teamwork, and you drop in with "Suck Less." 3600 posts, and I doubt even one has ever been thoughtful, or relevant.

Again. A competent player like myself, shouldn't be matched with people who pick double melee assassin on Battlefield of Eternity, a map mechanic that relies on ranged poking. People who don't know what "I will fill means" que up with the only support they have, lose it to the draft, and leave the team without a support. Guys blinking into towers, lone wolfs, or zeebo's who can't figure out how to cancel bad zombie walls. Body blocking Anub's, overextending KT's, and people who cant land a skill shot to save their life. First pick Nova, and Diablo type players. Triple spec, but don't know the death push meta. You could be 1/5th of temp of tempo storm, bud, but not even you can turn the tide under those circumstances.

Back to my original post... I got unlucky during placement matches, circumstance, and solo que caused way too many losses. A handful of games with a competent, and positive player will get me back on track.

So why is it then, that I can play on anyone's account I want an solo q and raise the MMR? Why can I make a new account right now and get it to over 3k with ease? Why is it that when teams recruit players they ALWAYS ask for their MMR, which as of a few weeks ago, can only be gained by solo or duo q'ing?

The bottom line is you are the problem. You are fucking awful. I play the same games as you, with the same retarded teammates, and the only difference is that I win these matches frequently, and you do not.

You can still carry a shitty team, it is just not nearly as easy to carry a shitty team in this game vs other games like LoL.

My girlfriend is awful at this game, but she insisted that her MMR was much higher than the 1300 she was sitting at. To prove this point I got on her account and played a couple days. I got her to 2400 MMR and then decided that was far enough and I would let her try playing at that level. Guess what? She is losing MMR pretty fast. Do you know why? Because she can't carry shit heads like you but I can. That is the difference between us regarding this game.

TLDR: You don't have to like what I post, you don't have to respect what I post, Hell...you don't even have to read my posts. None of this changes the fact that my posts are still relevant and true. You can disagree with me all you want, but at the end of this month when I am on Blizzard's new top 100 MMR chart...maybe you'll realize that when it comes to this nerdy game...I kinda do know what I'm talking about.
