I don't understand how you're supposed to climb in this game if you get off to a rough start.
Sitting at rank 20 and I haven't gotten more than 100 points since I was in the 30s.

I string together a solid winstreak and I don't benefit from it because I lose 140 points if I lose and barely gain 100 if I WIN.

Over your last 13 games your mean gain from a win is actually higher than your mean loss. With that being said...looks like you have a pretty easy road to a higher MMR as long as you win more than 50% of your games. Even 51% win rate will increase your MMR over time.

As far as getting more than 100 points goes....You only get the "skill bonus" points if your MMR value is higher than your in-game rank. So if you are rank 35 with a rank 20 MMR...you will get a 'skill bonus' which will likely get you over 100 points total. If you are rank 20 with a rank 20 MMR...you will not get any extra points.

I had an awful MMR with a large number of games and no where near rank 1 when I first started play. Then I stopped duo q with my bro so much....won around 70% of my games...and got to rank 1 with a much better MMR. It's only climbed since then.

So you're saying over time if I keep winning more than I lose eventually I will start getting the bonus again?

I was messing around on a new account with some RL friends (bro and gf) and I stopped getting a bonus at like rank 40...then I que up again last night with them and win like 8 in a row (keep in mind this account has very few games played on it) and I started getting the bonus again.

I think something similar happened to me on my main account when I was duo q with my bro. I stopped getting any sort of bonus at around rank 18....then once I got to rank 8ish with only 1-2 losses I started getting a bonus all the way to rank 1.

You need higher ranked opponents or different opponents. You most likely already played against most of your opponents that's you receive < 100.

Especially at the times you play the chance to meet the some opponents is pretty big. Consider it as a part of Blizzards Anti-Wintrading system.

You could for example fire up many clients and queue with them as team when you are the opponent and push your mmr. That's a pretty common strategy in many RTS.

I dont like the system either. I worked hard getting my mmr up to 2k and its going to shit because my teams always suck on solo que

makes me not want to play anymore unless I can get 1 or 2 with me

wat

When you have an MMR in the top 1-2% you tend to see all the same people day-in and day-out......

I don't think this is real.
