yup. Essentially, the more games you play the less variance you'll see per win/loss.
Also, MMR gained/lost is done on a TEAM level...meaning that if you have 4k mmr but your friend has 3k mmr you won't lose more for a loss than him...since all your MMRs are averaged into a single TEAM mmr.
I think poopies meant to say first 200 games though, rather than 20...cause it takes around 100-200 for your MMR to really 'settle' to where you actually belong skillwise.
Another thing to note is, if you are 2300 now with only a few games played...chances are you are going to climb a bit above that (unless you got some lucky wins or something...which is pretty common in the beginning of peoples placements).
