Honestly I think the comeback mechanics are a good idea but let's throw a scenario out.. I'd like to hear opinions
- Team A is down all game
- Team B has been simply dominating, great teamwork, winning fights etc
- toward the end of the game, Team B happens to lose a team fight
- Team A pushes core and wins
1. Was Team B truly "winning"? They are obviously in a position where Team A could push the core and win
2. Was Team A truly "losing"? Even if they aren't winning map mechanics or fight, they're still able to push the lanes to at least their keeps.
This game doesn't seen very tempo based like LoL or DotA
I think the idea behind this exact scenario you present is that if Team A is behind all game...and despite being behind and at a disadvantage, manage to beat Team B in a teamfight then Team A is essentially the better team.
This idealism is 100% correct for pro level games, and it also makes these games much more entertaining to watch. It's just like American Football.....even when your team is down 2 scores and there is only 1:30 minutes left on the clock there is ALWAYS potential for your team to make a sick play (Like a pick-6) and then recover the onside kick and end up winning...despite trailing all game long.
The problem with this idealism is that 99.9% of us aren't at the pro level...so sometimes it just ends up you losing cause 1 player did something stupid and there isn't anything you can do about that. It's kinda cool but kinda sucks at the same time.
