Hey I'm never really sure about this. When I finally get to level 30 on my smurf and I go into HL placement matches. Are they completely random or do they go based off QM MMR? I remember when I had to do placement matches on my main after being idle for 3-4 months when I came back I was being placed against rank 5-10 players for all 20 games.

That may have been because of previous HL MMR before they did all the resets, though.

Basically will I be ranked against higher MMR players in HL placement if my QM is 3000+ or do they just say "You have no HL games, so you play against rank 30s and see what happens"?

Highest MMR I've reached on my main account is 2510. That includes QM...
Current MMR after 25 games on twinkie account = 3450.

I know it's skewed because I've won something like 90% of my games so far in QM, but still. Even if I end up over 3000 it'd be cool

This game was insanely upsetting. Sonya and Falstad kept diving in on Sgt and getting 2 hit. I asked them to stop fucking around and Sonya says "You must be fun to hang out with", I said "Why play a PvP game if you're not interested in winning?" and she said "Go play a real game like LoL then".

That logic. I want to win, her and her teammate were shitting the bed and the logic is "if you want to win go play another game because I'm not interested in winning".

People really need to get over this concept of "It's QM so I can go for washroom breaks and stuff while the game is happening". I understand there is no ranking system but have some pride in your gaming. They should go play Diablo 3 if they want some "everyone is a special little snowflake" bull shit game. The 50k experience (saves 1/4 of your time on the average losing game) should be incentive enough. But I guess it's not. 4 wins is like losing 5 games. Why wouldn't you want to win?

Just had a Falstad teammate on Raven Tribute map that wouldn't go for tributes (Which is the only thing that shit hero is good for) because he didn't want zag to be able to take out a turret on bottom. We lost a 4v4 fight without our sustained damage. He could have raced them there. They win the next 9 tributes and end game without us touching a turret. Thank god we didn't let Zag have a turret.

My favourite line from this low level smurf garbage is when a Gazlowe dies 15 times in 20 minutes and says "Oh it's my first time trying this hero". Could have learned in AI, or Training, or Try mode, but nah... lets jump into live competition (non-ranked, but still PvP) and get stomped and then shrug my shoulders and be like "whoops lolololol"

Level 30 feels like a life-time to get to. :/

you can look up their hotdogs if you want. When I play with gf we mostly play vs rank 3-5.....which is pretty much like rank 20 tbh.

I would agree with you but when I first started playing 90% of my first times were in QM. Granted, I don't think I have ever died 15 times even when trolling............
