Gaz turrets do enormous amounts of damage in prolonged fights but you're right that they don't have much burst.

but the fights always move and the turrets health usually die by their aoes

Tyrande is even less rewarding because you'll land a sick stun and use your D on someone only to watch your awful teammates just let a person get away. It's like landing a sick hook with stitches and watching your team just look at the KT instead of blowing him up. Frustrating to say the least.

Body soaking isn't very important on abby unless you start dicking around with locust builds, in which case you will be swapping around from lane to lane to push all the lanes . Really what it comes down to is, don't be afraid to die. Abby is just like every other champ, dying sucks but odds are an early death won't lose you the game.
