Johanna is my favorite hero for tank and decent damage with certain builds.

Valla for assassin, high damage and love the mobility.

And I enjoy Diablo when I have a team with good communication to follow up on my skills like overpower and apocalypse.

played Kerrigan some and enjoyed her too.

Jaina. Have player her for almost all of my games (When I pick up a new MOBA I tend to try to focus on getting good with 1 character, since in Quick match I can select who I want every game).

Her mobility is trash early game, obviously. But I love being able to cross lanes and burst down + 35% slow enemies. If my burst doesn't get em, the 4 second 35% slow ensures my nearest teammate will. Also, being able to stroll by a pack of minions and casually drop a blizzard on them and take them all out without needing to stop on my way to another lane is nice.

A part of me wants to get some practice in with Frost Circle, but Water Elemental is just too nice with it's inherent slow and ability to chase down distant heroes.

I'm currently level 28, I figure once I get 30 I'll buy a few of the cheap-mid priced characters and work on learning a few new heroes so I don't get frustrated if Jaina gets picked before me in Hero League

Jaina is one of the top assassin heroes. With that being said....as far as non tank/supports go KT and Sylvanas typically get picked before her, which gives you a pretty good chance to get her every game if you duo que (improves your pick order odds).

With that being said, it's definitely a good idea to do what you plan to regarding learning some other heroes. I would say a minimum of 7 heroes that you can play at a high level is required to really be an asset to your team every game (with one of those 7 being Sylv).

Yeah I was looking at her and I like the way Diablo is able to really assist with 'damage dump' assassins. He'd be fun to learn, too. Although I still have more reading to do on strategy sites to see who is useful and who is useless

I would say generally speaking...top tier champs are:

Jaina, Kael'Thas, Sylvanas, Illidan, Zeratul, Anub'arak, Johanna, Brightwing, Uther

again, generally speaking..the dumpster champs are:

Gazelow, ETC, Stitches, Sgt. Hammer, Diablo, Chen, Raynor, Lili

I am thinking maybe Diablo will get a minor buff during Eternal Conflict though since they want everyone to have more of a reason to buy the awesome angelic skin they gave him. Who knows.
