Im not sure why you are defensive, we are saying the same things. Shit teammates screw you whether you are high or low MMR.

If the specifics about matchmaking are even worse than it seems, Im unsurprised.

I just don't understand why people want to try and blame their awful teammates for their losses/low MMR/low rank or whatever. Literally EVERY player gets games with awful teammates.

Check this out, C9Fan's smurf account, top 5 MMR for October and top hotslogs MMR, hes got 4600 MMR, is the best player on the best team that just won $200,000 at the blizzcon world championship event, and got paired with a 2500 MMR player on his team. (Literally the first HL game I opened up and looked at)

http://www.hotslogs.com/Player/MatchHistory?PlayerID=3693641

Despite him having the lowest MMR teammate (by a few hundred MMR) he still managed to win. Do you think he won because the 2500 mmr player was better than the 3300 MMR players on the other team? Or do you think he won because he carried the awful 2500 MMR player that should of never been in that game to begin with?

Having shit teammates is not an excuse for losing, we all lose because of this reason...it's just part of playing MOBAs.

Foerest is the 5th ranked HL player in North America....he also performs well in scrims with Tempo Storm which he streams (he actually ended up carrying them last night if you watched)....Who exactly are you saying he is bad in comparison to? Certainly not you, and considering how strong North America is in relative terms to the rest of the world at this game...he's not bad compared to anyone.

They removed the gold farming aspect of the game...and with it the need for items. Instead there is a talent system which most of us seem to like much better. 4 different talents across 7 different tiers = 28 talents for ~43 heroes

There are many that overlap but there is probably around 500 different talents all together (28x43=~1200). I think that is a lot more variety than all the items in LoL IIRC.

Honestly it's difficult to compare the two games even though they are in the same genre...but judging by the changes league has been making over the last year it seems like they are adopting a lot of the ideas that hots has already implemented from day 1 (Like leveling your champion, larger ranked premade parties, etc.)

I do too but they are definitely the causes of losses. Not always, but definitely can be.

You realize that you can't place the blame on anyone but yourself unless you play 100% flawlessly right? In which case you should be on a pro team winning hundreds of thousands of dollars at world championship events (especially since they don't even play 100% flawless).

This is a 5 player game. You can not control what teammates are given to you by the matchmaking system. The only thing you can control is how well you do/don't play. Yes it is frustrating. Yes if player X hadn't face checked that bush late game you would of won game Y, but there are probably a dozen other things that had you done earlier in the game...your team would of won as well.

Try watching retired progamer Grubby stream hots. After almost all of his losses he talks about what he did wrong that contributed to the loss. Yesterday he played a 30 minute game as Jaina and had over 100k hero damage with only 1 death. He had teammates with 8 deaths. You know what he did after the game? He analyzed his own gameplay and noted that in order for his team to win he needed to get much more DPS on the opponents falstad (Who rekt the whole game) and less damage on the warriors. The whole chat (A few thousand people) were blaming all the other players for sucking, and Grubby even admitted that had some other players done better he probably would of won, but ultimately he took the blame as he (being probably the best caster of this game currently) was able to realize that he made a mistake and that alone could of been the reason he lost.

It's pretty natural to want to blame your awful teammates for losing (Don't get me wrong I do it too) but the only way you can actually improve yourself and your gameplay (which will equate to having more fun) is for you to look at your own flaws and realize that they might be more considerable than you initially thought. This is why progamers always encourage people to watch and learn from their replays, as it's much easier to look at something objectively when you aren't trying to do it in real time.

TLDR: potato.
