this is the same system league uses, nearly exactly. If you can manage a 50% win rate you'll always go up in rank. If you're not shit you'll just skyrocket. If you're D1 / Master you'll get back to it np.

No when your MMR and initial Rank was high you get -x personal rank adjustment (-20 for me) and -6 up to -10 for "favored"

You really need to keep your 60% winrate to climb slowly and more like 80% winrate streaks to climb reliable. Blizzard wants to keep the games to casuals who don't know anything.
Their shitty support doesn't even unmute you when you disable chat all the time and they just say "You must have done something that offended your teammembers" I friend who are on the 2 week, 1 month and 2 month mute tier.
1 is even on the 4 month tier.
There is no report decay you will be muted with certainity after certain amount of games. Those who speak will be muted after couple of 100, those who don't chat will be muted after some 1000.

The 51% lie is for noobs who are at the bottom and receive boni for winning streaks.

Then chances are you're playing against mostly people ranked lower than you for whatever reason.

Rank adjustment makes it so you can climb with a 50% win rate. It'll take a shit ton of games, but it's possible

Because I didn't use hotslogs my MMR was far over 3k.

With the stupid soft reset every noob from 2.3k mmr got into diamond and it's totally random because the divisions are elevators.

Because you are let's say 3.7k in the system and you are on a losing streak in D4 or D5 you constantly get low mmr idiots as opponents and in your team.
Comparing MMR favors you.
Because you are on a losing streak from D1 to D4 you lose points to adjustments.

This means you need over 50 winrate to climb.
Instead of winning 6 to climb again from 0 I need 7-8 wins to climb from 0

This means to climb 3 ranks within 1 division you need up to 6 more games.
This is on a 100% winrate and this shit holds you back.

i'm 46 HL games in this season, it's about halfway over now and i'm 350 pts above where i placed. i placed 500 pts d3.
my W/L ratio is 23-23.
i play whenever i get time and there is no way in hell i will get to master before season ends. i feel like this is unfair.
i am however queing solo instead of duo, that could help my winrate. but having above 50% winrate is fucking hard in this game.
some of the teammates i have gotten are just unreal.
