Chogall (Ogre mage/warlock) -- Probably Ranged Assassin

Greymane (Human King from WoW...also one of the werewolves 'Worgen" so he will likely be able to shapeshift) --I am assuming Melee Assassin

Lunara (Dryad Night Elf lady) -- looks like a ranged assassin



Matchmaking
Build games based on MMR so players will be closer ranked
10 minute wait time max instead of 6 minutes
Time will not determine match quality
New formulas will match games based more closely on MMR

2016 Fixes
Improve MMR accuracy
More mirror team comp in Quick Match (by class, not necessarily by hero)

I would prefer TC MMR. I don't play heroes I don't like/don't master.

Bad picking ruins the match in HL.

So HL needs 11-12 Heroes? And who decides the Ban in HL? The 3rd/4th pick is already a pretty confortable spot.

"TC MMR"? What's that.

I imagine HL will require 12 heroes and there will probably be more bans added down the line as more heroes are released...(I expect 3 bans per team once we get around 70-80 heroes...which is probably just 2 years away.

MMR depending on the composition of your team, with a better classification between Tank, Warrior, Bruiser, Solosupport and so on.

The shittiest games I ever had were those where we ended up having 3 healers, 3-5 specs. It's not like you need to be bad on those characters the games just turn out into a 4 level difference massacre.

They also mentioned they are going to implement more mirror matches in QM to get away from this issue (at least to a degree)

Tracer was also announced ('Main" hero from Overwatch).

Additionally, the are adding an Arena to the game which 5 player teams get to pick 1 of 3 random heroes each to brawl with eachother in a best of 3 "all mid" type match.

Each game is ~5 minutes

Talent gating means when you are first leveling up you don't have all the talents unlocked until like level 4 with a hero or level 25 overall or something.

The death recap is pretty amazing, the MMR based on performance rather than win/loss I think needs to be completely transparent in order for me to hop on board. I prefer playing warriors and it would be AWESOME if I could gain MMR from losing while playing the heroes I want to play but it would be AWFUL if I didn't gain MMR cause I picked Muradin or some other low damage warrior because that is what the team needed, rather than picking a Sonya and getting top numbers but losing cause we have no CC etc.


I am watching someone stream ChoGall right now and he looks pretty damn cool. They are playing AI gains so I don't know how tanky he really is (web cam covering health pool) but it appears like hes a big tanky fatass, which makes sense considering if you kill him then 2 players are out of the fight.

All these surprises are pretty damned awesome. I was feeling kinda negative about this game as we approached blizzcon but they have pretty much blown my expectations out of the water and completely reminded me why I continue to spend money on in-game purchases.
