Try to google it, it is very easy to find and has ~800kb, its freeware and easy to use.
Won't post any link here, since i dont want to get warned.
I won't talk about fraps here, because it's not freeware and has to be illegally downloaded. The test version can only record 30 seconds, so it's not useful for our purpose!
2. Step: Configure Hypercam
As i said Hypercam is pretty easy to use!
1. Menutab:
If you play D2 fullscreen the height & length has to be 800x600.
If you play Windowmode you have to start your D2, then start your hypercam, press "choose window" and switch to d2 window.
2. Menutab:
You can leave everything as it is here, or configure the buttons to your own preferences. I use f7 to start/end recording, but it's up to you.
Rest can be left as it is!
3. Menutab:
Choose your preferred folder where your recorded videos should be saved! Consider to have enough Space on the HDD, because the videofiles can grow up to GB-size while recording, if the compression percentage is low!
Videocompressing should be left as "autochoose".
Picturecompressing-rate has to be adjusted, considering your pc performance. Start at 0% and move up as long as you can reasonably play d2 without lags!
4.-6. Menutab:
Can be left as they are, not this necessary.

3. Step: Configure your D2 Graphics:
Normally you play in 3D mode. If your performance is still nice while recording you can just leave it like that.
If not, run your d2 graphictest and switch to 2D Direct Draw, to win some performance!
Ingame u can adjust the graphic settings too. You just have to point out what settings suit your pc the most!
If you did these steps you should be able to record d2 videos, of course only if your PC is able to handle that.
For making a final video out of it I recommend to use Windows Movie Maker, because you can learn to use it in ~10minutes.
A source to upload the final video can be for example Youtube. But Youtube lowers the video quality alot!
So i prefer to use putfile.com, there u have nearly same quality as ingame!
