Ok, so many of us are 30+ years old. I’m sure a good bunch of us here are programmers, web developers, and engineers.
Can a few of us band together and propose (and work on) some website updates to JSP? Isn’t it time? Or, are things in the works? I’m under the impression that JSP isn’t going to see any further (significant) software updates — to make it more modern. Since it already has a solid grasp/monopoly on the d2 economy/market…. “Don’t fix what isn’t broken” is in full effect, it seems.
I have so many ideas with how JSP can be improved. For example, we could add an “Auction” thread type so that it’s never ambiguous when an “Auction” ends, who the winner is, etc. We could automate the auction winner. We could automate a lot of things. Also, wouldn’t it be cool if you got a text message (opt-in) for your PMs? How many times do you miss out on a trade because you were idle?
A ton of people I’ve met on d2 stay away from d2jsp — not because it has some connection to trading money for items — but because the site is “too clunky.”
What do you think? I would be down to work on this asap. I use this site daily, and wouldn’t mind if it had more automation. More features. A cleaner UI. (plus, it wouldn’t be hard to deploy the “new/cleaner” ui via an opt-in, too)
