As for your specific question, you cannot request a custom background individually, you’ll need to post a suggestion and if administration likes the idea, they will implement it.

There are however already dark mode backgrounds, try shuffling through some of them and see if any works for you. You can access it by changing the d2jsp display styles here - https://forums.d2jsp.org/settings.php?c=0

hi thanks for the reply, but i dont think we're on the same page. Dark and Darker is a new loot based game. I want to get the new game added to jsp as i think there is a place for it. Still need help with this
