I was just temp banned for an hour for what I can only come to the conclusion was saying the name of a d2 trade site that was in reference to the price of something I saw.
I didn't link to it, all I did was mention the name.

**It would be great if you guys could you know, just openly say that saying the name of this website is temp bannable instead of trying to make it seem like I was linking to another site.**
I wouldn't have broken any rules if I knew just TYPING THE WORD was temp bannable.

My suggestion? Maybe openly state you cant say certain words, because I CLEARLY wasn't trying to make a link to anything, the only rule I can find pertaining to why I think I was banned is:

No advertising or linking to any external site that has not otherwise been expressly authorized. This includes mislabeled or deceptive links (including tools to shorten or obfuscate a link).

This is the only rule I can even conclude at all that I broke, and I don't see how I actually broke those rules just saying the name without a link or a .com or trying to get anyone to go to any link.
Also this was in a private message, so it's not like I was trying to intentionally get people to go to the website I mentioned in reference.

This seem horribly ridiculous. Am I wrong in thinking this or is this just as ridiculous as I think it is?

This was actually meant as a suggestion so people know that they can be temp banned for it, I don't want to accumulate warning and this was not very clear in terms of a violation.

I'd assume that some of the names that trigger an autoban upon mentioning it were not intentionally listed due the sheer amount of traffic we have on the site, if we list them out even as rules we'd potentially be advertising for those sites and apps, they'll even display on search engines.

I can understand the concept of not listing every name, but you could just add something like "even mentioning the name of a website can get you temp banned".
Cause like I said in the original post, it was in reference to the price of an item - wasn't a link and wasn't for anything relating to advertising.
If you had in the rules that even typing the name of other websites was temp ban I wouldn't be doing it; this is where it was overly vague.
