It's quite dumb when people do services and don't actually use the proper sizing.

Make it so anything not within legal limits can't be used at all instead of having something for a month then a mod pming you about it.

Over the past few months I've got a pm from a mod on just about every pic in my photo gallery that I've used (for months without a pm from mods mind you) telling me it needs to be resized

It's really fucking annoying. Make it so you can't put the image as your sig/ava if it's not within the "rules and limitations"

This process reminds of pumping gas in Oregon. Its illegal to pump your own gas, you need an attendant to pump it for you. When I ask people around there, they say "its a job creator" - much in the same way the current support for things exceeding the size limt is creating like little mini mod volunteer staff to hunt down things a computer could tell you instantly.

100% support this idea.

This has been brought up many times and has been shut down
It's too easy for people to post something that is within the limits, then after the checks happen on the site, change the image to something else
