So basically theres people massively abusing the search function by putting every single tag they can come up with in their topic, and then not creating one topic, no they create the same topic every 4 hours for even up to 30 times.

meaning whatever you search in the search function, you'll get 20-30x this exact same topic, but can't find the item you are actually looking for.

curently this is not reportable cos you can pretty much create the same topic as long as it's not an early bump

these people don't even bump the topic, they just keep remaking it so their posts are the only ones that come up while using the search function

I totally agree you should be able to re-create a topic if theres any adjustments or when you wanna update your FT-list or ISO-list, no problem here. but seeing 30x the same topic in the first 5 pages of the search function is just pretty absurd

I noticed this mainly in the D2R trading section the search function might aswell be removed for the time being since it has no purpose, if i search for a pala fcr amu i get this dude with a picture with 100 items in his topic about 30 times, and theres not even a pala fcr amu, only because he put it as a tag in every single one of them.

I personally think there should be a new rule for this, let's say the topic has to at least differ from the one you created before, or a rule related to the tags you put in a topic

or allow for like a tag box, solely meant to put tags in, and make rules for these tags that they at least have to relate to the topic rather than just being every single word that comes to mind.

I agree it's annoying

Making a new post to promote the same item is still early bumping,report all post related to same item and same user as early bumping
Also someone brought up the tags and excessive tags are against rules as well let me find the post for clarification

but he doesnt do it within 4 hours so its not illegal atm or early bumping, except for maybe the tags

let's say he does it about every 5 hours for 5 days straight

every time the same topic, no bumps

then at some point the search function only contains this exact topic 30 times

he also puts some annoying picture in the topics so literally the only thing you see is that exact picture in the search function

Unfortunately any restrictions to prevent this would hinder legitimate users reposting for good reason
Ex. Your original trade post got spammed but left open,so you repost for a clean thread,
Or you posted 40fg for xxx in title or can't edit original post so you repost

yes very true, hence why i mentioned something about a maximum amount of topics

if your topic gets spammed or gets closed for whatever reason, you can ofcourse repost

reposting a topic that got spammed is different than reposting the same topic 30 times, however

for example they could implement something like, no more than 3 exact identical topics (that excludes updated offerlists) per 48 hours, unless your topic got closed, cos then you cant find it with the search function anyway.

if you really have to repost your topic more than 3 times because of spam or whatever reasons in 48 hours, you should probably have pmed a trade moderator to begin with
