I just went to look at the S/A section and I see the same BattleNet tags...

Is it so hard to add some kind of "Black List" to the forum header for warning people here or what? Of course, you can use the help of a mediator, but we going to do it every new trade? Nope…

Need to notify people about this and it will prevent future scams by this people. Make the new BNtag with D2R game is much harder then create new account here.

Voted no imdeitially for two reasons.

1st is an easy one to explain use a mediator, it’s fast, free, and secure:
https://forums.d2jsp.org/info.php?c=4&p=11

2nd is also fairly stright forward. As someone who is also actively browsing the Scammer Accusation forum I can assure you that the sheer effort required to maintain and update this list would require massive amounts of time for little benefit. If people don't want to wait 1-2 minutes max for a mediator then do you really think they will want to read a list of accused battle net scammers that is constantly being updated with new names every day? When people dont use a mediator it is for one reason only. They are in a hurry and these same people aren't going to scroll through 30+ pages of names every time they want to make a trade.

Also consider that someone in SA would be responsible for taking the time to add names to the list each day and removing names of users who complete the W.A.I.L process from the list as well. The amount of time required to maintain this list sounds like a nightmare in my opinion.

Lastly what about if the accused is proven innocent then they would need to be removed possibly hours after being added. I.e more wasted time and resource from s/a that could be focused elsewhere.

I like your reasoning behind this suggestion from an SA standpoint id say this is an easy no vote for me.

Thanks for the read. Take care & trade safe!

I do not think it is that cumbersome when at the end of a scammer accusation if a tag gets requested to add in the battle.net tag to a list.
Users would not need to scroll 30 pages, a simple ctrl + f or search ability would do. A google doc would work fine.

My concern is everyone gets one free Battletag change and I think you can pay for the service as well. This issue gets compounded if battletags are also recycled.

Hey ,

Thanks for your suggestion. I agree with most of the points that were brought up by all the replies so far. You are right that some battle.net tags are more dominant in the SA and involve quite a few cases. I would say this might be a helpful sticky if it is only updated with confirmed scammers who had multiple topics created against them. I wouldn't add every single one there as pointed out - that would be too much efforts for little benefit. However, as stated - I don't think it will be too cumbersome to add some profiles and battle.net tags. Maybe those battle.net tags that are "currently" active and have, at least, 3 topic + created against them.

The main problem with this idea will be as always the fact that people don't read stickies.
