So.. here’s an idea.

Subsection of the scammer accusation forum, for scammer warnings and potential warning signs ⚠️ next to trading status.

For example, me, a 2007 user with 50,000+ posts and 50,000+ Fg, was trading with a 2021 October user with like 1k Fg. ( )

He wouldn’t give first and that’s fine, so I said I wouldn’t mind using a mediator.

Instead of requesting a mediator and trading in like 1-2 mins, he spammed my inbox for 10 mins about how trustworthy he is cause he’s made a few trades already.

In the end, he left the game because I wouldn’t send him over 500 Fg first.

Now, this is suspicious as hell, and that’s putting it mildly.

——

So… i propose a forum where we can bring these instances to light, and even have a course of action on their account such as a caution sign next to their trader status, signalling they have been involved in suspicious trading behaviour, like refusing a mediator in an instance where they had no right asking for first trade and acting extraordinarily suspicious.

I think this would help trading go a lot smoother, and drastically reduce the amount of scams as well.

No. There is a S/A Forum and a scammer tag for a reason. This would invite false accusations.

All im saying is that they usually get the users acting suspicious ?

Edit again:
It's on both parties to use a FREE service provided by the site so it shouldn't matter who should give first. Its fast these days.

How is that inviting false accusations.

You think someone should agree to a trade as a 2021, force everyone to go first or cancel the trade?

That’s literally the only way people can scam, there should be a deterrent for this behaviour.

This isn’t even a bm trade where he got offered, we were in trade screen and he was trying to force me to send first.

There should be a course of action against proper demanding sending first AND not willing to use a safe trading protocol like a mediator.

thats what im saying there is a deterrent, its a free mediation service provided by the site that only increases your trade time a bit.
Now if they refuse to use a mediator then yes
id say thats where that line goes lol

This is a no for me.

“ Instead of requesting a mediator and trading in like 1-2 mins, he spammed my inbox for 10 mins about how trustworthy he is cause he’s made a few trades already.”

Block this dude lol. Plus, users reserve the right to back out of a deal at anytime. Decide who will give first. If you do not feel comfortable giving first, then use a mediator. If they bitch about it, they can gtfo. It only takes a couple of minutes to get a response on d2r.

In addition, it would be difficult to do this when new users join every day. There’s so many users. Many are multi’s. Too many open questions too like how long would they keep such a tag? Would they have the opportunity to get it removed? Time frame? Who assigns these? The mods? What if someone reports another user to get one of these tags just to stunt their ability to trade. Users aren’t gonna wanna trade with them, even though they haven’t done anything wrong. The list goes on.

It would be verified just like scammer accusations, and it could be like a warning, maybe even a link to the thread(s) that report the suspicious activity.

You’re proving my point that there’s a lot of new account Multis, and this would help warn people of suspicious behaviour.

I think anyone who backs out on a trade for the sole reason of a mediator request is likely a scammer, especially when they spend 10 mins trying to convince you to send, when a med only takes 1-2 mins.
