Dear all,

After all those years trading experience on Jsp I am missing one feature which gives user notification when a new topic with certain tag is being posted.
Like I am looking for certain items (lets say Griffon for example), user should be able to set "Griffon" as notification tag and whenever someone create a new topic/thread related to Griffon that user will get a corresponding notice, similar as tracking topic function right now which allows user to find the item much faster.
Right now what I have to do is to enter specific item names in "search" area over and over again and that could be disturbing.
I would not mind if this feature would cost 5 to 10 fg as it is an advanced search function

I cant think of any downside. However the upside to this would be massive. This is a weird example and honestly something that is considered a violation but lets say a user is scammed and posts in TG by mistake. Users with the custom notification set to the word "Scam" would pop up and notify you of the report. All be it the post was made in the wrong forum and will end up being closed/moved it would still be just one of the ways that i could see positive benefit to the community if your suggestion is implemented. There are other ways that i could see this being a excellent addition to the community.

Voted yes I would love to see this added to all forums not just trading forums.

Well thought, like that the Mods can also be notified early enough to close/move the thread to the right place.
Is funny you took "Scam" as keyword example, with a lot of new users joining this year a lot more scams are happnening, this could help people set the tag and be more aware to get notified whenever a scam is happening/whoever the scammer is.

This was my thought process as well. I could see this being hugely beneficial especially for new users as you mentioned.

like the idea for sure, but hundreds of threads get posted with fake tags in the thread constantly. Voted yes, but can also see this as something that will frustrate people because they set a custom tag for say a Griffon, and someone is Selling an Eschuta or something and put Griffon tag in their post.

happens all the time unfortunately. Could see you getting hundreds of notifications for Griffon, when not a single Griffon was actually being offered at all.
