I.E
User is about to post: "Why don't my images show up?" and hits post. Script checks if post is in some 'key phrases' (which for this would be "images show up"), and prompts user with a warning:
"Can't post an image? See thread/rules: somelink".
The user would then be able to bypass the warning and post anyways upon second click of 'post'.

The idea being it could help users almost instantaneously with very commonly asked questions, i.e 'how to post images', 'what rule does this violate', 'where is the section', 'how to buy forum gold', any keywords in rule violations...
vs. waiting for someone to post, and it would also reduce spam on threads in trade sections (ideally).

Perhaps might be an unnecessary load on server, but that's not for me to determine!

This is the same as having a search bar in help sections (since it is searching) instead of making a topic and having it search anyway.

I think it is a great idea overall. I also agree with that it is basically the same feature as using the search bar in the “general help” section. However, clearly people don’t use it enough, since we see the same questions pop up all the time

Voted yes. However, with my very little experience on this platform, I have noticed that the site is not very accepting of change. Given that you can already utilize the search bar in general help, I doubt this idea will get anywhere unfortunately.

The search function is only properly utilized if the user knows where to be looking for the information. This would be in all sections. I can't tell you how many times I've seen in trading sections "why can't I post images" or "how do I post images".

Hard to ignore something that's in your face about it. But I do see your point.
