I think that it would be great to have the redirect page replaced by a notification overlay on the page much smaller confirming the action we just did.

That would definitely be a nicer experience and a cleaner design. The utility gained from this idea would be marginal however. Given how other much simpler ideas don’t get implemented here, I don’t think they will even consider this one unfortunately.

this is quite simple, it all depends on how well the IPB software was designed, but in the end, instead of using the redirect module, you can program a popup module that shows the same informations instead of redirecting.

but again, it depends on the structure of the code.

It could also be a redirect like right now, but the popup shows up after.
