There was a similar topic that got closed pretty fast so sorry about getting back to it but if you don't mind I'd like to discuss a little bit of fg system upgrade.

There's no a single day without a lot of scams being done. I haven't been scammed a single time yet although I am the one going first in 99% cases but it still makes me sad whenever I see how much fun thieves have at d2jsp.

I think it would be a really nice feature to have two different amounts of fg: confirmed and pending.
Whenever you trade for a high amount of fg you could tick "safe trade" option, person who pays with fg would have to send it first.
Person who sold the item would receive fg on their pending account which would be auto transferred to their confirmed fg after 6 hours or so and then it could be send to anyone else. If someone don't receive what they have paid for you can just let stuff know about it as you currently do to lock their fg and to get your fg back.
After receiving item or service they have paid for they could just go to their fg history to tick "confirm" button to make it spendable faster.

By the way: current system of scam accusations isn't really good to be honest... This "take screenshots of stash and so on" is really simple to cheat, you can just drop item next to akara, take screenshots and yay, false scam accusation done...
Wouldn't it be better to just record your trades? There are even chrome addons for screen recordings that make it simple. It would be a much better proof then silly screenshots IMO.
Fake scam accusations should be equal to having account banned.


And yeah, I know, use medi. I will never trade anything worth 1k without medi or getting paid first but 99% of people won't use medi as it takes time. Can you imagine yourself every single trade 1k+ being done with medi? Average waiting time for medi would be like 2 hours or so. Some of us spends this much daily to play a game.
2/3 rule sucks too as scammers just buy old d2jsp accounts whenever their current one gets banned.

I'm just sick of thieves, it's such a cancer of nice community we have. And yeah, I'm aware nothing will be done about that. It was always worth trying.

What you have described above almost identically resembles how a regular mediation works on the forum. I am a new member as well and I trade excessively on the forum I agree that it might be nice to have an additional safety mechanism implemented for, perhaps, smaller trades. However, what you seem to be describing is trading for larger amounts in excess of 1k fg. I have no problem using mediators for anything 1k+ and the average time is usually a few minutes. I have used mediator only 3 times since my two months on the forum - all three times were deals of 2K+ and took less than 5m to be completed.

I respectfully have to disagree with the proposed idea.

The only thing I can suggest is please add a poll to your topic if you want your idea to get anywhere. However, I highly dought you will get much of supportive feedback, unfortunately.

Well, I'm not a new user at all. I used to play d2 when wf, gf and stormshield were godly items (1.09 I guess) . I just don't have an access to an email I was using like 12 years ago and I don't even remember my previous username here as I've stopped playing d2 because of bots/duping many years ago.
Scams were an issue years ago but now it looks even worse IMO.

Yeah, you can wait for medi just a couple of minutes only because 99% don't use it. You suggest people using medi but you don't take into account what effect on medi trading it would take if everyone would try to find a mediator at the same time. The number of medi requests would make it unusable. I'd like to see number of 500 fg+ trades every single hour and number of mediators online. I guess a medi trade would have to last like 10 sec to make it work, lol.

Also there will always be new users who are not familiar with how d2jsp works. There will always be easy scam opportunities and there always will be thieves because of that. I just feel sorry for people who get stolen from.
