I might be one of the few users to have a bunch of sub forums set to my notifications, but at times it’s very useful to have them, but I lose track of a lot of things in the huge wave of notifications at times, and therefore I have a suggestion to split your notifications tab like such:

Notifications:

Quotes and mentions
Replies
New topics
Private messages
Friend requests

This way I can easily check to see if I have been added as a friend, had a reply or quoted or mentioned somewhere without having to read through my dozen of notifications each morning.

Thanks for a valid suggestion to improve the experience on the forum! I try to be involved in a few different sections of the forum as well, and I agree that some sort of enhancement of the notification system would be nice. It could be the separation of notifications into different categories as you suggested, or having a designated tab where you can review all of them and be able to click on them in whichever order without losing the ability to go back to them at any point.

Regardless of what they do with it, an enhancement would be beneficial for sure.

I think this would help some of the busier people like mods and such a lot too

Yes on this one. I really can’t think of any drawbacks on having something like this implemented.
