-hello I was recently scammed for 5.5k fg, the accused was locked within 24 hours but he already moved the fg seconds after scamming me. Without any back and forth with meds after about 15 hours or so he was locked. The med had told me they investigate the accounts transactions history and claim to lock down other questionable accounts that the fg may have been sent to, but loophole. If they've already made a trade (ie spent my fg in a "legitimate trade") then they can get away with it making scamming a viable speed run? Also if they're going to lock the account and whatever account don't really get why they can't provide a refund at literally no cost to the site. Like how hard must it be to actually just use the sites fg bank generator.

It's 2021 almost 2022 and it's a shame that this website doesn't provide anything for paying customers when it comes to getting scammed. Call me Karen whatever

This would be simple to abuse and would result in hundreds of false accusations.
Use a mediator.
The staff do not need to prove anything.

I first had provide proof of getting scammed. (abusing proof)

Then they (the meds) could provide proof of locking the ogirinal scammers account and the multi he sent fg to.


I'm not asking for refunds all I was stating is that it would literally cost nothing to the site if that's what you're talking about. Sorry I even brought that up.

Hey Necronaught,

The post above ^ explains one of the aspects why refunds might not be possible and be even harmful to the economy on the forum.

While your experience is, indeed, very unfortunate, it is not the website's responsibility to watch over every transaction that takes place on the forum. They already provide a fairly healthy system of support and in the form of mediators as well as a plethora of information on how to protect yourself.

Allowing and requiring refunds in your situation can and will result in many cases of abuse of this practice. I am sure you can think of many examples of how both buyers and sellers can get major incentives to manipulate this system for their gains.
My last point is that the accessive amount of fg in the economy is also unhealthy. It would definitely be not "free" for the website to issue refunds and reimbursements all day long in the form of fg as it will eventually lead to devaluation of this "currency" if you will.

Hope this helps to bring a different perspective on the issue.

The poll and whole reason of this post is about providing proof and closure of a scammers multis also being locked. Am I just supposed to believe they actually tracked and locked the scammers multi? Where's the actual sense in that.

Sorry for the potential misunderstanding of the post and your topic... I think the wording is definitely confusing, even on the poll.

If you are asking: "should the website provide proof that they locked the multies of the scammer" - my answer is yes why not. If that gives you some peace of mind.

Yes....

With all of the effort and time we put into the SA forum, why would we just let a multi account of a scammer roam freely across the forums? There will be no "proof" provided that we take action against multiple accounts. As that would mean we are providing you with far too much additional information that you do not have access to as a regular member of the website (this information is not even accessible by the majority of the mod team, it's only accessible to those that need it).

Yes you're the med who helped me. But so what my post sit there for 15 hours until you got to it without any posts even claiming you guys have seen the post. Just for you to say the account with 0 fg got locked and then closed my post?

I'm requesting a little closure that literally wouldn't involve more than a private message including a screenshot of where my fg was sent and showing that account being locked as well.

I’ll apologize here for the delay in response time, every single moderator on d2jsp is a volunteer and we have other commitments (work, family, etc..) that take precedent from time to time.

Sending you screenshots of confidential information (user multi accounts) will never happen. This is information is accessed on a need to know basis by a select few moderators that need to know it, and that’s where the information will end.

I am not going to debate with you further about this here - if you want you can PM me and we can continue our discussion.
