Both graphically and functionally, the website is in a pretty great state. Small updates happen all the time in an incremental way; there's certainly no need to do a complete make-over.
If you really want a graphical make-over, you can always try playing around with the existing CSS files. But that's probably as far as it goes, considering that the webmasters are quite keen on this straightforward, highly performant design.
