I'm new to d2jsp, so if my thoughts gone wrong - pls tell it.
I made a few deals and found out there are no real mediator - the person who will receive the item AND the money. The risk of being scammed still preserve.
I also found out that in-game 3-rd person mediator practice used to be here some time ago. It seems there are just too many deals to mediate it like this.
My proposal is to add a possibility to buy this kind of service (3-rd person mediation) for 5% fee of the total FG deal amount, so Mediator releases 95% of gold he received.
It is also possible to do it decentralized -- to give the community a possibility to mediate each other deals for charge. To prevent the scams (if one decide to steal both FG and the item) there should be a mediating person's lock up for amount of 200% of FG involved in a trade - just to compensate both sides their losses.
Simple example:
Jah rune sells for 5,000 FG
The user, mediating the trade, should deposit 10,000 to the forum to mediate it.
If all is fine, mediating user earns 250 FG, Jah seller receives 4,750 FG.
If the mediating user turned out to be a scammer his deposit covers the losses.
So that's it. You are welcome to discuss.
