So I see a lot of posts in the trade forums getting dug up after having gotten all the stuff they need. I feel like if the owner of the post was able to close the post once they were done with it, that would go a long way to keeping the forums clean of dead posts.

I suspect the threads are left open for transparency. The thread allows both potential parties to leave comments.
