It would be great to hide topics you are not interested in or that have devolved into arguing/shitposting or whathave you.

1. Add a "Hide This Topic" button to the topic screen
2. Hidden topics don't show up for you on the forum listing and won't show as unread
3. In your Tools section, you can see a list of topics you hid so you can unhide them or look at them if you really have to
4. Showing moderators the amount of people who have hidden a topic could also be a useful analytical tool

Like the idea,but would be a lot of work to implement this
Wouldn't help mods at all,if a post is against rules report it ,they only do something when something is against rules and do their best to not be biased

I can't imagine spending hours to hide uninteresting topics when I can just ignore them.

They also close threads that are of low value but there’s no way to currently report an entire thread

Reporting the first post in the topic draws enough attention if needed, or if multiple reports throughout the thread occur.

Hiding topics falls under the same scope as hiding users, and besides that add on that bnp uses, it's most likely not going to be implemented.
